Dharmshala Yoga Retreat

Dharamshala being the second winter capital of Himachal Pradesh.It is the Dalai Lama’s residence.there are many places to visit in Dharamshala.Whole dharamshala is surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of Himalayas.
Retreat in Dharamshala would include 6 nights 7 days program .It includes the following:

⦁ Yoga and meditation class daily
⦁ 3 veg meals daily
⦁ 2 herbal tea /coffee daily
⦁ Local sightseeing
⦁ Pick and drop from airport.

DAY 1 – Arrival at Gaggal airport .pickup from the airport . Gaggal airport is 13 km from Dharamshala. Enjoy the beautiful serene environment of Himalayas and relax.Meditation class would be provided to you in the evening if you arrive on time. You can also enjoy local sightseeing.

DAY 2 – Yoga and meditation class in the beautiful, peaceful Himalayas. After breakfast we will move to visit some famous temples in dharamshala.
⦁ Jwaladevi temple
⦁ Chamunda devi temple

Jwala devi temple – This temple is famous for one of its kind , there is no idol place inside but just the flame….
It is mentioned in the Mahabharata(the most traditional epic) and other scriptures.there is a natural cave where eternal flames continue to burn.
Chamunda devi temple- It is an aspect of Devi, a supreme mother goddess .The name is a combination of Chand and Mund,the two monsters which Devi killed.

DAY 3 – Yoga and meditation class in the beautiful, peaceful Himalayas. After breakfast we will move to visit some famous places in dharamshala.
Tibetan museum, church, dharamshala stadium (it is one of the biggest stadium which is situated at such high altitudes and fully covered with Himalayas) , Kangra forest and many more places. Here we are not elaborating the destinations all before as we believe the beauty can felt and cannot be explained in words and another point is that we believe that we should keep this as a surprise for you….
This would be a full day tour and all the members are requested to leave soon after the breakfast. Lunch would be outside in the market.

DAY 4 – Trip to mcloadganj
Yoga and meditation class in the beautiful, peaceful Himalayas. After breakfast we will move to visit some famous places of mcleodganj.
In mcleodganj we will visit places like:
⦁ Namgyal monastery-Namgyal Monastery is also the home of the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and the largest Tibetan temple outside Tibet. This beautiful monastery was founded in the 16th century by the second Dalai Lama and it was established so that Namgyal monks could assist the Dalai Lama in public religious affairs. The monks living here perform rituals for the welfare of Tibet and work as a center of learning and meditation on the profound Buddhist treatises
⦁ Bhaksu temple and bhaksu waterfall- Scenic 20m waterfall located a 1km trek from Bhagsunag temple along a trail lined with street cafes
⦁ Tibetan museum – The Tibet Museum is the official museum of the ⦁ Central Tibetan Administration’s Department of Information and International Relations and is located near the main temple of the ⦁ 14th Dalai Lama, Tsuglag Khang, in the Dharamsala suburb of ⦁ McLeod ⦁ HYPERLINK “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLeod_Ganj”⦁ Ganj. The Tibet Museum aims to disseminate knowledge of ⦁ Tibetan history and culture while raising awareness of the ⦁ occupation of Tibet and the ongoing human rights abuses committed by ⦁ China. Established in 1998, the Tibet Museum now has a collection comprising over 30,000 photographs, a traveling exhibition, and a permanent exhibition that documents the Tibetan journey into exile across the Himalayan ranges. ⦁ [
⦁ Theckchen choling temple complex which is the spiritual centre for Tibetan Buddhism, while the library of Tibetan works and houses which has got thousands of previous manuscripts is worth watching.

DAY 5 – Trip to Triund
Triund is the crown jewel of dharamshala , situated in the laps of dhauladhar mountains, it has the perfect view of the dhauladhar mountains on one side and kangra valley on the other. Triund is a very popular trekking spot . Triund attracts a lot of tourist every year from India and all over the world .   
Triund  trek can be described as a tranquil trek which can be easily accomplished by almost all age groups . Triund has an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar and rhododendron . Trek is fairly easy for the first five kilometers but the last one kilometer may require a bit of toil , the last one kilometer is popularly know as the “22 curves” as it has 22 tiring  curves before you finally reach Triund.

Havan is a Hindu ritual performed in house, during house warming or if someone is ill, or on some special occasion. Havan is one of the ten positive virtues or niyam that is prescribed for the devotee whose aspiration is to draw closer to the Divine, ultimately acquiring Oneness with Him. It is also one way of performing Deva yagya, one of man’s five daily duties, according to the tenets of Sanatan Dharma.
After hawan delicious breakfast would be served to you and then certificate distribution would be done.After this function you can relax and enjoy and in the evening musical and devotional musical night would be arranged.

Day 7 – Yoga and meditation class . Packing to fly back. Breakfast and checking out.
Note :
⦁ One have to give 50% of the fee amount in advance to book the seat and the rest 50% at the time of arrival.
⦁ The members who are coming for retreat are requested to have a look on our website and the hotel which we would be providing you. No changing of hotel will be entertained.
⦁ Fees once given shall not be given back.
⦁ All the meals would be purely vegetarian.
⦁ No smoking or drinking is allowed in the hotel/ashram because we are providing spiritual retreat.
⦁ Tea/herbal tea would be given twice in a day.
